 The Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), in coordination with the Vietnam Lawyers Association officially announces the organization of Vietnam ADR Week 2026 (VAW 2026) under the theme “Arbitration & ADR: Embracing New Heights”. The program will take place from May 25 to 29, 2026, in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, alongside a series of online activities.

Amid the rapid expanding commercial and investment activities in both scale and complexity, the need for dispute resolution mechanisms that are efficient, transparent, and trustworthy has become more urgent than ever. Against this backdrop, with an aim to maintaining a multi-dimensional forum, offering an open and substantive platform for dialogue among government authorities, arbitration and mediation institutions, legal practitioners, businesses, experts, and international partners on key legal, institutional, and practical issues in dispute resolution, The Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), in coordination with the Vietnam Lawyers Association officially announces the organization of Vietnam ADR Week 2026 (VAW 2026) under the theme “Arbitration & ADR: Embracing New Heights”. Through a series of professional and networking activities, VAW 2026 seeks to foster the sustainable and professional development of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Vietnam. At the same time, it is expected to contribute to improving the quality, efficiency, and transparency of dispute resolution practices in an era of deepening global economic integration. In the longer term, the event aspires to support the positioning of Vietnam as a reliable destination for resolving commercial and investment disputes, both regionally and globally, thereby strengthening a transparent, stable, and attractive business environment for the global business and investment community.

With its expanded scale, enriched program content, broader outreach, and the support of reputable domestic and international partners, VAW 2026 is expected to further strengthen its role as a valuable platform connecting ADR users within Vietnam and internationally. More than a series of professional events, VAW 2026 represents an important milestone in the development of Vietnam’s dispute resolution ecosystem towards greater modernization, deeper integration, and closer alignment with international standards.

One Week of Strategic Touchpoints

Over the course of five days, with a flexible combination of in-person events in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City alongside virtual sessions, VAW 2026 is designed as a cohesive journey connecting policy with practice, and international perspectives with the needs of the dispute resolution user community. In this context, the program will feature the following main categories of activities:

  • The Opening Ceremony, which marks a significant milestone with the launch of the VIAC Arbitration Rules 2026an important step toward further refining the arbitration procedural framework, enhancing transparency and efficiency, while aligning more closely with international standards;
  • The International Dispute Resolution Forum, which brings together leading arbitration and mediation institutions, along with experts from Vietnam and abroad, to exchange insights on emerging global dispute resolution trends and discuss Vietnam’s increasingly prominent role on the regional and international ADR landscape;
  • The Vietnam Investment Forum, which focuses on Vietnam’s investment and business environment, legal risk management, and dispute resolution mechanisms that respond to the evolving needs of the market;
  • Practical discussion sessions for lawyers, businesses, in-house counsel and other interested stakeholders, providing a platform to share experiences in preventing, managing and resolving disputes arising from commercial, investment and business activities;
  • The closing event, which is strategically designed, features the launch of VIAC’s Financial Dispute Resolution Division, marking a new direction in handling financial and secured transactions disputes in Vietnam and the region.
