Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot is back for 3rd year with the slogan “C-right, be wise”, which brings the message: Always look at the problem carefully, you will discover new and interesting things!
The Oral hearings will be held from 12 March 2021 to 14 March 2021. 16 teams with the best outlines will be distributed into 04 groups (04 teams/group) to compete in the Elimination Round. One team with the highest score of each group will continue to the Semi-final Round. The 02 winners of the Semi-final Round will compete in the Final Round on 14 March, 2021.
“Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot” is the very first Moot competition in Vietnam on CISG which is based on the international Vis Moot competitions such as Vismoot in Vienna, Vismoot in Hong Kong, Pre-moot in Malaysia, etc. Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot has created a useful playground for Vietnamese students to broaden their knowledge and improve their legal skills.
Being held by the Faculty of Law, Foreign Trade University, Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), Vietnam Society of International Law (VSIL), Vietnam Business Lawyer Club (VBLC) and supported by Law Consultant Club (LCC) and CISGVN; after 2 years, Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot has attracted hundreds of participants. By being participants, students will have a chance to be evaluated and commented on by experienced arbitrators, which not only helps them to gain experiences but also to improve the legal skills before encountering the international moots. Furthermore, the winning teams are also provided with financial support to participate in Vis Moot competitions.
