In-depth Seminar on Dispute Resolution in Logistics by Arbitration in Hai Phong City

With a view to developing the competence, knowledge and professional skills of members of the Hai Phong Logistics Association (HPLA) in the context of international integration, based on survey results of the interests of the HPLA’s member businesses, the Journal of Democracy and Law and the Ministry of Justice have collaborated with the HPLA and the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) to organise the In-depth Seminar on Dispute Resolution in Logistics by Arbitration. The seminar was held on November 2nd in Hai Phong City.

VIAC and VCCI organize a CEO community exchange seminar on legal governance models in businesses

On the afternoon of June 29, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, within the framework of the 2024 Executive Training Program organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI HCM), the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), in cooperation with VCCI HCM, held a seminar titled “Sharing on Effective Legal Governance Models in Businesses.” The seminar aimed to facilitate exchange and sharing between CEOs of law firms and the business management community. It attracted over 100 participants, including CEO course trainees, lawyers, legal officers, and representatives of businesses interested in legal governance issues.

VIAC organized the 2024 Meeting of VIAC-listed Arbitrators in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City

On September 25 th and October 4 th 2024, Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) organized the 2024 Meeting of VIAC-listed Arbitrators in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City . The meeting was conducted to tend to feedback from the Arbitrators regarding VIAC’s activities, on the occasion of Prof. Dr. Le Hong Hanh being unanimously appointed and elected as President of VIAC for the 2022 – 2027 term on August 8th 2025.

HANOI, Vietnam – On 13 th October 2024, the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) had a meeting with the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) to discuss potential cooperation in cross-border dispute resolution. In attendance were Prof. Dr. Le Hong Hanh – President of VIAC, Mr. Vu Anh Duong – Permanent Vice President cum Secretary General of VIAC, along with Dr. Liu Xiaochun – President of SCIA, Executive Chairman of SCIAHK and Mr. Huang Guoyong – Director of International Cooperation and Development Department representing the delegation of SCIA. The meeting aimed to strengthen ties and explore collaborative initiatives to improve arbitration and mediation services between Vietnam and China.

The seminar “Logistics infrastructure: Requirements in development strategies and legal framework” took place on August 30, 2024, in Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu. It was co-organized by the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), the Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu branch of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and the Bà Rịa - Vung Tau Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (BV SME). The event saw great success, with over 100 businesses, legal professionals, and media representatives attending. This is the following event held within the framework of the Legal Management Series 2024 (LMS 2024) co-organized by VIAC and its partners.
