On the morning of June 6, the signing ceremony for the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between Vietnam Law Newspaper and the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) was held at the headquarters of Vietnam Law Newspaper. The event marks a significant step forward in strengthening cooperation between the two organisations, aiming to enhance legal awareness, support businesses, and contribute to building a strong legal institution.

Representing the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) were Prof. Dr. Le Hong Hanh, President of VIAC and Editor-in-Chief of the Law and Development Journal, Mr. Vu Anh Duong, Permanent Vice President cum Secretary-General of VIAC; along with leaders of VIAC’s specialised departments. Representing the Vietnam Law Newspaper were Dr. Vu Hoai Nam, Editor-in-Chief, Ms. Tran Ngoc Ha, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, and representatives of several divisions under the newspaper.
In recent years, the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) has organised conferences, seminars, training courses, trade and investment promotion activities, and other initiatives aimed at enhancing the capacity of organisations, businesses, and individuals in risk management, dispute prevention and resolution, as well as improving legal awareness within the business community.
In order to enhance the effectiveness of promotional and training activities, the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) have held working sessions with Vietnam Law Newspaper to discuss the organisation of conferences, training programmes and trade and investment promotion activities. These initiatives incorporate innovative approaches and systematic, professional communication, thus increase the number of arbitration and mediation clauses for dispute resolution in commercial transactions.

According to the agreement, from July 2025 to March 2026, VIAC will coordinate with Vietnam Law Newspaper to implement a series of planned activities, including conferences and seminars on arbitration and mediation in dispute resolution, as well as training courses to enhance skills in dispute management and resolution through arbitration and mediation. These activities will be organised for entrepreneurs and businesses.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Vu Hoai Nam, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Law Newspaper, expressed his honour to cooperate with VIAC - Vietnam’s leading commercial arbitration institution. Dr. Nam emphasised that this partnership stems from shared dedication and responsibility in legal framework improvement, institution development, and support for businesses amid an increasingly complex and competitive environment.

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Law Newspaper, Dr. Nam hoped to maintain close cooperation with VIAC in disseminating practical legal knowledge to the business community. He also acknowledged the positive contributions of recent joint conferences and seminars in shaping policies and regulations aligned with Vietnam’s development goals in the new era.

Professor Dr. Le Hong Hanh believed cooperation between both organisations will continue to strengthen, creating legal values and serving as reliable partners to the Ministry of Justice, the business community, and society.
The signing ceremony is considered a milestone marking the beginning of a sustainable strategic partnership between the two organisations. Through information sharing, coordinated communication efforts, and joint professional activities, both parties aim to spread practical legal values to the wider community, especially the business sector and legal professionals. Notably, within the framework of the ceremony, both organisations agreed to jointly organise the first Business Legal Forum in the near future.
Representatives of both parties expressed their strong commitment to building an effective and substantive partnership, harmoniously contributing to the country’s development, where the rule of law, justice, and transparency serve as the foundation for sustainable success.

Vietnam Law Newspaper is the official media agency of the Ministry of Justice, responsible for providing information on the activities of the Ministry, the justice sector, as well as domestic and international political, economic, cultural, and social issues. The newspaper plays a key role in disseminating and promoting the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, legal development efforts, law enforcement, and judicial activities, serving the Ministry of Justice's management requirements and meeting society's demand for legal information, research, and understanding of the legal system and the justice sector. The newspaper actively contributes to enhancing the effectiveness of state governance through legal instruments, promoting democracy, and building a socialist rule-of-law state. It also plays a part in shaping public opinion, providing social critique, fostering patriotism, national solidarity, and self-reliance among the people, while promoting social welfare.
Vietnam Law Newspaper operates under the direct management and supervision of the Ministry of Justice, and the state oversight on press activities provided by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the operational orientation by the Publicity, Education and Mass Mobilisation Commission.
