The Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot 2026: RESILIA

Nov 24, 2025

From November 2025 to March 2026, Foreign Trade University (FTU), in collaboration with the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC), will host the Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot 2026: RESILIA. The competition will be conducted in English and is open to students from law faculties and training institutions in Vietnam and abroad.

The Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot is the first simulated arbitration competition in Vietnam, focusing on the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). As a landmark instrument in the field of international commercial law, the CISG has paved the way for transformative reforms in national sales law frameworks. Following seven successful seasons, Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot 2026: Resilia is officially launched under the joint organization of FTU and VIAC.

This year’s theme, "Resilia", draws inspiration from the concept of "resilience", embodies the spirit of endurance and renewal amid adversity. The stones symbolise the legal framework and the rigid boundaries of commercial disputes, where every decision demands transparency and precision. The orchid, delicate yet unyielding, stands for humanity, sustainability, and the yearning for reconciliation. Blooming from within the stone, it is more than a defiance of nature – it is a metaphor for the pursuit of justice and accord in the realm of sustainable energy, where reason meets nature, and law converges with life to create a new harmony.
