Aug 04, 2025On April 24th, 2025, The Seminar “Law No. 57/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly and new policies on investment activities” was successfully organized by the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC), in collaboration with the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre of Ho Chi Minh City (ITPC). The event saw great success, with over 200 businesses, legal professionals, and media representatives attending.

Aug 06, 2025In the afternoon of March 28, 2025, the Workshop 03 “Controlling time for submission of evidence in Arbitration” was held under the joint coordination of Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) and University of Economics and Law (UEL), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. The Workshop attracted the participation of over 100 delegates, including legal experts, arbitrators, lawyers, and lecturers, as well as students from legal training institutions, all of whom share an interest in arbitration in particular and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods in general.

July 23, 2025The Vietnam Moot Court Competition (VMCC) is launched in 2025 as a collaborative initiative between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi Law University, The Moot Club of Hanoi Law University and the Asian Law Students’ Association - National Chapter Vietnam. It is a premier platform designed exclusively for law students and those interested in law in Vietnam. It aims to provide a competitive arena where participants can deepen their understanding of commercial and investment disputes, hone their English mooting and debate skills, and engage with one of the most effective methods of resolving international disputes today – arbitration.

New Regulations on Ultimate Beneficial Owners: A Step Towards Transparency and Key Considerations for Foreign Investors
July 02, 2025From July 1, 2025, Vietnam will officially implement the regulation on “ Ultimate Beneficial Owners” (UBO) within the Law on amending and supplementing certain articles of the Law on Enterprises, marking a significant turning point in efforts to enhance corporate transparency and combat money laundering. However, this new regulation also poses some significant challenges, especially for foreign investors with complex ownership structures. The research was attended by Ms. Hoang Nguyen Ha Quyen, listed arbitrators of the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) and Listed Mediators of Vietnam Mediation Centre (VMC), and Ms. Ngo Thi Phuc Tam, Senior Associate.

The Workshop attracted the participation of over 150 delegates, including a significant number of arbitrators, mediators, lawyers, in-house counsels, and legal professionals.
