VIAC welcomed representative delegation of Samsung Vietnam

VIAC and Samsung Vietnam delegation

In the morning of 31 October 2017, the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC) had a meeting to welcome the visit from Samsung Vietnam’s delegation. Through the conversation, Samsung’s representative - Mr. Han Ki Wook (Legal Director of Samsung Vietnam) had given positive comments on the commercial arbitration trend in Vietnam in recent years. Mr. Han also shared that the progressive method of dispute resolution was the perfect piece for business civilization and he expressed goodwill to have better understanding of  VIAC’s process of dispute resolution.

At the meeting, Mr. Vu Anh Duong (General Secretary cum Permanent Vice President of VIAC) and Mr. Phan Trong Dat (Deputy Secretary General of VIAC) shared current situation of resolving dispute in general as well as dispute resolution through arbitration, mediation in particular. VIAC's representatives also directly answered questions and explained the risks involved in the implementation of the contract and the methods of dispute resolution that may be applicable when a dispute happened.

Besides, at the meeting, Mr. Han Ki Wook also proposed VIAC to coordinate professional skills training activities for the legal staff of Samsung the coming time. On the side of VIAC, Mr. Tran Huu Huynh - President of VIAC shared that the center is very willing to support Samsung Vietnam enterprises with the proposal. Following its goal to serve and help businesses communities grow, VIAC has helped many other companies to organize internal training, improve quality and legal expertise for officials and employees of the enterprise.
